Castries, Saint Lucia –  On January 23, 2024, Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre was joined by Félix Fernández-Shaw, Director for Latin America, the Caribbean and relations with all Overseas Countries and Territories at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA), Cabinet Ministers and EU dignitaries for the ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of the Piaye Bridge.

Castries, Saint Lucia- Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre, currently serving as the spokesperson for climate change in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), is set to attend COP28, the 28th annual United Nations climate meeting, scheduled in Dubai, UAE. Prime Minister Pierre will attend COP28 from November 30 to December 5th, 2023.

Castries, Saint Lucia- The Government of Saint Lucia, led by Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre, is pleased to announce another significant achievement in its journey of delivering promises to the people. Today, the government unveils a new chapter of support for its citizens. A cohort of 3105 government pensioners will receive another one-time payment of six hundred dollars, in addition to their regular monthly pensions. This initiative injects approximately $1.863 million collectively into the pockets of pensioners, providing tangible relief to those who have contributed significantly to the nation.
